Transportation of people is a very responsible process and carries serious risks to the life and health of passengers. The peculiarities of bus driving include a different location of the driver's seat relative to the front wheels, risks for passengers when moving them around the cabin while the bus is moving, driver distraction, fatigue and monotony.

The course may consist of a seminar and practical exercises at the training ground. In the course program:

  • Bus driving features – visibility, acceleration and braking dynamics, dimensions
  • The importance of surveillance, timely identification of hazards and movement planning to prevent sudden maneuvers
  • Distribution of the driver's attention
  • The effect of forces and accelerations on passengers in different parts of the cabin
  • Passive passenger safety – seat belts, loose cargo
  • Entry and exit from the cabin using a three-point system
  • Dimensional maneuvering and reversing
  • Managing fatigue, monotony, stress

Training result

Participants can treat road risks reasonably, use the acquired knowledge and experience in daily driving, and independently work on improving their driving safety level.
